▣ Introduction
CL-AE3000 is the advanced exciter fully compliant with the ATSC3.0 physical layer standards (A/321, A/322), and includes high-performance pre-corrector to support HPA. It supports not only STLTP (A/324) from gateway, but also SFN with internal GPS module. All VnV signals can be easily generated and edited by well-designed GUI, and it also provides TxID function for SFN diagnosis.
The exciter has been designed as a 1-RU rack that input interface, FPGA hardware and RF module are compressed. It provides high RF performance, MER of more than 40dB and superior digital adaptive precorrection. It also supports high speed FPGA configuration and software loading. These provide the ability to react quickly to ATSC3.0 terrestrial TV standard changed and evolved.
The exciter was verified and shown through correct operation of transmission by attending three V&V Plugfests in collaboration with ETRI and the stability of equipment was guaranteed by performing successful field test in Korea.
